The Christmas concerts in my day (1948-1950) were mainly held in the hall, though the first one was held in the sewing room. That was given by the Staff Nurses I remember, though later we Student nurses took them over. I still have some snaps of us taking part.
The concerts were meant to entertain the patients, but I think that we staff had more fun taking part than they did just watching!
