She shall not permit Nurses or Attendants or Servants to enter the Sewing Room, or to loiter about and gossip at the doors.

GENERAL MANAGEMENT

Rule 294.

Relatives and Friends of Patients shall be allowed to visit them on Wednesday in each week between such hours as the Medical Superintendent may direct, and at other times by the special permission of the  Medical Superintendent, or in cases of dangerous illness; but no person shall visit a Patient if the Medical Superintendent shall state in writing that the visit will probably be injurious to the Patient, or is otherwise inexpedient.

Any Female Employee in the Asylum service shall, in the event of her marriage, notify the fact to the Medical Superintendent, and her services will be dispensed with, unless retained for the convenience of the Institution.

All Attendants, Nurses, Laundry Employees, Kitchen and other Servants, Labourers, and Artizans are required to leave and enter by the Lodge Gates, and to deposit their keys with the Gate Porter before leaving the Estate.

THE FOREMAN OF WORKS

Rule 255

He shall examine all locks in the building once every four months, and shall furnish a written report of the condition that he has found them in, and shall certify that he has thoroughly examined every lock.

THE INSPECTOR.

Rule 183.

He shall ascertain that the Male Attendants are in bed by 10:50 p.m., or by the time directed by the Medical Superintendent, and up at 6 a.m.

THE VISITING COMMITTEE

Rule 1

The general supervision and control of the Asylum is vested in the Visiting Committee for the time being, who shall meet within one month after their election, and shall then appoint a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and a Clerk to the Visiting Committee.

THE MATRON.

She shall supply the Medical Superintendent once weekly, or as required, with a list of Patients suitable to attend the dances or the entertainments, or the Church Services, and with list, when the occasion occurs, of such Patients as are eligible for walks beyond the Estate.
