As a child growing up in the community of Whitchurch in the 1960’s we used to play in the grounds of the Hospital and ride our bikes through the corridors hoping that Matron wouldnt catch us! The community of Whitchurch has always been supportive of the Hospital and tried to be understanding of the patients.
